About The Program

Are you passionate about caring for others and making a meaningful impact in healthcare? Our one-year Health Care Assistant (Special Care Nursing) program is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to support patients with special care needs in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home settings.

At Mount Zion Higher Institute, students are trained in both theoretical foundations and hands-on clinical practice, with a strong focus on compassion, professionalism, and patient-centred care.

The program emphasises: Personal care and hygiene, Vital signs monitoring, Assisting patients with limited mobility, Basic medical and emergency support, Communication and ethical responsibilities, and understanding chronic conditions and disabilities. There are four admission sessions for this program: the September session, the January session, the April session, and the June session.

Our experienced instructors and supportive learning environment ensure that every student graduates with the confidence and competence to work as a Health Care Assistant or progress into advanced nursing programs.

Upon successful completion, graduates will be well-prepared to join the healthcare workforce or pursue further studies in nursing or midwifery.
